AND DRINK
We care about good
food, drink and great service. Our philosophy is about quality
and sourcing the food as locally as possible.
For example we buy
our lamb from Hazel Relph at Yewtree Farm in Rosthwaite and our
Steak Pie uses Limousin beef from the nearby Newlands Valley
and our tasty selection of cheeses are all Cumbrian. The thick
cut bacon comes from the local butcher in Keswick. (To

Our Bar serves
a range of local cask conditioned beers such as Hesket Newmarket's
Brewery range, Jennings Bitter, Black Sheep and
Coniston
Bluebird. We have an extensive range of Malt Whiskies and decent
quality soft drinks.
Our wine list includes over 40 different
bottles including 6 wines available by the glass and in 1/2 litre
caraffes. Our suppliers
are passionate about their products and provide many rare and
interesting
wines (such as Pinot Noir from Otago in New Zealand supplied
by Jim
Ledworth who spent 6 months in NZ trying different wines -
Tough life Jim!) |
